Summary (1). Individual Reading. Somerset Moem: "The Moon and Sixpence".

I have read the first 6 chapters from this book, where the narrator tells us how, where and when he met  Charles Strickland. One day the author recieved an invitation for breakfast from Strikland's wife. She always invited writers to her house as she thought they were extraodinary people. Strikland was quite foreign to the literature and his wife described him as a very boring person. And it was really so. He left the impression of
" a good-natured, dull, honest, ordinary guy. Some of his qualities, can be, and should be commended, but try to communicate with him was impossible. He was zero."

Strikland was quite foreign to (NO 'the') literature and his wife described him as a very boring person. Some of his qualities, can be, and should be commended (WHAT IS IT SUPPOSED TO MEAN?), but TO communicate with him was impossible.
